The area forecast calls for daytime highs in the upper 40’s to low 50’s for the weekend through next Wednesday. In the late summer and early fall these temperatures may have us putting off a planned ride for some greater warmth. In the early winter these highs beg for layered clothing and enjoying dry roads and sun.
We usually start with a base layer. We love the wicking properties and softness of the Long Sleeved Marino base layer. Next is an insulating layer to hold in your body heat, and top it off with a jacket. Don appreciates the wind proof front and arm panels of the Pro Jet Stream Jacket. For the legs tights are recommended-just pull them over your cycling shorts. I wear a simple headband under my helmet to protect my ears, Don enjoys the skull caps.
