The future of bicycling and walking in Ohio?

by Ruth Kaser for Cycling Articles

Do you want more transportation options in Ohio? Do you have ideas regarding how road and bridge repairs should be funded, should the repairs continue to be funded or should we just let roads and bridges collapse?

If we increase our transportation options by continuing to fund and develop rail, public transportation, and the pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure we will decrease traffic congestion, and improve the health of our citizens.

The Ohio Department of Transportation(ODOT) has a plan, and it is time to revise and create a new plan. You can be a part of Ohio’s future when you take the survey and give your opinion.

Below is the link the Access Ohio 2040 page on ODOT’s website. You can  take the survey by simply clicking on the sentence  Take the Access Ohio Survey.

While you are visiting the Access Ohio page you have the option to view Access Ohio 2004-2030. The document is 249 pages in length so save the file-the bicycle pedestrian section is #8, but the report is filled with interesting information.
