We always like to see you and your bicycle at our shop but sometimes a bicycle repair is needed and we are not available. Now should you get a flat or have something go out of adjustment you can use one of the new Dero Fixit Stations. Two new repair stations have been installed : at the Lake Anna YMCA near the entrance and on the TowPath Trail by the kiosk at the Robinson Avenue connecting bridge.
The stations include:
a stand to suspend your bicycle should you need an emergency repair
philips and flat head screwdrivers
2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8mm Allen wrenches
8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 32mm box wrenches

The great Ohio fall weather is beginning and the multi- use trails such as the TowPath Trail and the Bike & Hike Trail are filled with cyclists, hikers, joggers and walkers. I found a cute and educational video on the Summit Metro Parks YouTube channel
As season begins the trek from late summer to early fall it is even more important to light up your outline. Whether it is your self, your bicycle, your jogging stroller, walker or scooter we are entering the season of morning and evening sun glare. The Orbs from Cateye come in white for front and red for rear. They are easily attached to a handlebar or a strap and work well in conjunction with the Orbit.
Improvements have been made to the common areas along the TowPath Trail in Downtown Akron especially the area directly behind Canal Park Stadium. To celebrate what is new at Lock 2 you are invited to some events at lunch and in the evening.
There will be lunch hour events at the lock, (one was today) the next event will be held September 1 from noon to 1 pm and includes ice cream and live music. This lunchtime event is part of the Reimagining the Civic Commons project. Then you will want to come and join the fun at Lock 2 on September 8 from 6 pm to 9 pm! The evening will include food and drink, beer, live music from the Gage Brothers, dancing lessons with Taj, art activities with the Akron Craft and Social Club, and more!
