We are planning our 2015 model year bicycle purchases-in between party plans. Our bicycle representatives are visiting the shop, showing us why we should fill our shop with their bikes. We like the 2015 Fuji’s as well as those of SE Racing (also owned by the parent company Advanced Sports International), and Marin has some interesting comfort bikes.
Below are some of the models we are considering.
The Big Mountains 27.5″ wheel has been referred to as the “Goldilocks” wheel size. It is larger than the 26″ wheel so it has great roll over but has better handling than its larger sibling the 29er. The Big Mountain 27.5 disc is available in a 24 speed as well as a 21 speed bike. The 24 speed features Promax Hydraulic Disc brakes and Hutchinson Cobra tires.
A customer comes up to us and shares with us they feel uncomfortable riding in the proper saddle height position. They go on to advise they are interested in a bicycle that is easy to ride and comfortable. The Stinson from Marin fills that bill. Available in both the step over and step through frame designs the slanted seat post design allows riders to sit upright and touch the ground with their forefoot when needed, all while maintaining proper saddle height for pedaling efficiency. The comfortable saddle and adjustable stem complete the package.
The Fuji Crosstown 2.1 and 2.3 have been best sellers for riding on bike paths or around town, the 2015 models should continue that success rate.
