From the Metro Parks, Serving Summit County website.

Bike & Hike Trail: The Bike & Hike Trail, between Alexander and Nesbitt roads in Sagamore Hills, will be closed Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14. FirstEnergy Corp. owns the land and will be applying herbicide to control vegetation in the utility corridor. A contractor will close the trail in Hudson, between Hudson Drive and Norton Road, Monday, September 17, through possibly Thursday, September 20, to install a water main along Hudson Drive. Also starting Monday, September 17, asphalt repairs will affect the trail in Hudson east of SR 8 for up to two weeks. Where the trail forks, a short stretch of the northern section will be closed. The southern section will remain open, but users will have to use caution because of heavy equipment.

Towpath Trail: A manufacturing facility along the Ohio & Erie Canal in south Akron will be dye-testing underground water pipes Tuesday, September 11, to inspect for possible leaks. If there are leaks, it is possible that green or red dye will show up in the canal along the trail. The dye is harmless. For information, call Emerald Performance Materials’ Bill Ramos at 330-374-3949. The trail, between the Mustill Store Trailhead and Portage Path in the Merriman Valley, will be closed from 6 a.m. until noon, Saturday, September 29 for the Akron Marathon.
