It seems like just yesterday I read news of a new ride in Ohio. The ride would be held annually in a different region in Ohio each year to highlight the varied topography of the state and unique points of interest offered by the small towns along the route.
G.O.B.A.(the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure) turns 25 this year. This years route takes it into western Ohio. The approximately 2500 riders will be riding from June 15 through June 22-the snow should be over by then, you think? The riders will start the tour on Saturday, June 15, at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana. They will begin cycling on Sunday, June 16, covering an average of 50 miles per day. The group will overnight in Troy on Sunday and Monday, Greenville on Tuesday, New Bremen,(home of the Bicycling Museum), on Wednesday and Thursday and Sidney on Friday. They will return to Urbana on Saturday, June 22.
