Don and I joined the Spin-Offs Cyclists Bicycle Club on Sunday on their Inside/Out Sunday in the Park ride. The ride focused on the Inside/Out art along the TowPath trail. Inside/Out is a project by the Akron Art Museum that brings high quality art reproductions from the Akron Art Museums Collection outside.
We rode north from the Bike Kitchen at Lock 3 visiting the art at the Mustill Store, Big Bend, and the North Portage Terminus. The Akron Art Museum offers a map of the art along the TowPath Trail & Summit Metro Parks. At each reproduction is information about the artist as well as the piece itself to help you to understand the work. Also included is the QR code for the Inside/Out Project. Scanning the code will bring up the full art list.
Don and I rode from the Wilbeth Trailhead to the rides start at Lock 3 and we had no mechanical problems. However, if we had needed tools we did not carry we would have been covered at Wilbeth Trailhead and Memorial Parkway. Both areas included the new Fix it Stations, pictured above. The Fix it Stations also have a QR code-scanning it will take you the Dero.com website -common bike repair issues and how to videos.
