A hybrid bicycle utilizes the 700c wheel, so each pedal stroke has the ability to carry you forward to explore new territory with less effort. The Crosstown 2.1 pictured below is a comfort bike. It features an adjustable stem, a wide saddle and a suspension seat post. The steel frame will absorb more on rough roads. The small frame size would be recommended to a rider 5″ 1″ to 5’3″ tall.
If you like a little more power to your pedal stroke, i.e. be able ride in a more forward riding position, the Absolute 2.3 is a great choice. Built like a road bike but more relaxed like a mountain bike it features an aluminum frame. It offers the same hill climbing gearing as its Crosstown cousin the 17″ frame would be recommended for someone 5’4″ to 5’8″.
