Dressing to ride this weekend

by Ruth Kaser for Cycling Articles

Spring is coming with all of its variables -a high of 30’s today and tomorrow and back up to upper 50’s and low 60’s next week. If you have challenged yourself to build up your base millage for a longer ride in the summer, or if you plan on an early long ride in April or May, now is the time to be outside riding. Layering your clothing will keep your ride comfortable. Some people like to ride with minimal layers as they warm up fast and begin perspiring. Others head out into the cold with a set jaw enough layers to not obstruct movement.

The 30 degrees of Friday and Saturday generally call for tights and a wool base layer, while the 50’s to 60’s may just warrant arm and leg warmers. All of  our  winter clothing is now on sale.
