The Ohio Bicycle Federation held their 3rd Annual OBF Bicycling Summit recently in the Statehouse Atrium. One of the event highlights was Ohio Wheelmen Captain Rich DeLombard as he pedaled his 1885 Columbia penny-farthing between the display tables twice during the event.
The event also included advocacy updates as Representatives Mike Henne (R-Vandalia) and Mike Sheehy (D-Toledo), sponsors of HB 154 which requires that motorists leave at least three feet of clearance when passing bicyclists, discussed the bill. They also discussed Rep. Sheehy’s HB 88 (texting). Rep. Brian Hill (R-Zanesville) discussed his HB 110 (increased penalties for leaving scene of accident).
