AKRON: An Akron and Summit County Transportation Forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. today, Thursday May 28th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the Akron Zoo’s Komodo Cafe. Topics will include the Copley Road Phase 2 project, the proposed Towpath Akron Zoo Connector that would follow along Bartges and Raymond streets and the Safe Routes to School program. The forum, the second of several planned throughout Summit County, is being organized by Andy Davis, Akron’s former traffic engineer who is now the Akron active transportation coordinator at the University of Akron. The event is hosted by City of Akron, Akron Zoo, Summit County Public Health, and the University of Akron, School of Sport Science & Wellness.
