I have just restocked the lubricants, so now is a great time for a musing on lubes.
T-9 by Boeshield has been a shop favorite as it can be used to free up stubbornly sluggish shifters by applying it directly on the affected area or on the cables, it is a great chain lubes and it also works well on frozen door locks.
ProLink by Pro Gold is a new addition to the lubes we offer. It is also a thin lubricant that does its job lubricating as you ride. It does not build up or become tacky; sheds dirt, mud, and abrasives. Also repels moisture and prevents corrosion. I also thought Pro Gold had an interesting website
Bio Lube by Phil Wood is the product of choice if you have a 3 speed hub, it is also a great chain lube and can be used as an all-purpose household lubricant. It is a lighter lubricant than their Tenacious Oil, Bio-Lube is created using all-natural ingredients. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and completely biodegradable.
What lube does Don use in the service department? He has used all three, although I believe Pro Link is his new product of choice.
