TowPath Trail Report
July 15 was a beautiful, sunny day. The weather was perfect for a ride on the TowPath trail from the trail head by our shop-Wolf Creek to where the construction stopped our ride.
We road this section earlier this season but did not have the time to explore the northern most section we could cover before we were stopped by construction. We had more time, and the camera. We entered the TowPath at the Wolf Creek Trailhead. The lilly pads were blooming the entire way, and it appeared to us the Blue Heron was also enjoying the weather.
We road as far as Manchester Road and it was time for lunch. We left the TowPath Trail and went up over the bridge to enjoy Pizza Huts pizza and salad buffet, then it was on to leave the familiar section and check out the parts we had not experienced. We last road as far as the auto auction yard. Today we continued north of Waterloo road to see the progress to Wilbeth. New is the boardwalk and bridge- pictures below.
We were unable to ride to Wilbeth Road the heavy equipment was in use today, working on the path. It appeared we were just a couple hundred feet shy of Wilbeth Road.Ride distance-about 6 miles each way.
